About ToolTrace
Useful web tools, explained honestly.
ToolTrace builds focused APIs and free tools. They help people and software understand public webpages with clear evidence.
Our approach
Small tools that do a real job.
We prefer a clear endpoint over a vague promise. Each product should answer one question, show useful evidence, and state its limits. A sitemap sample should not look like a full crawl. An SEO check should not claim that Google indexed a page.
Our free tools help you check one page or sitemap without writing code. Our APIs return the same kind of work as JSON. Teams can use it for release checks, monitoring, research, and AI workflows.
Editorial method
We write from the product outward.
Our guides are based on features we support, examples that work, public standards, and trusted source documents. We keep facts separate from advice. We also check code samples against the current API before we publish them.
We use plain English and explain technical terms in context. When product behavior changes, we update the related page. If we find a material error, we correct it instead of hiding it.
Safety and access
Public data still requires care.
ToolTrace blocks private and local network addresses. It also uses login checks, rate limits, credit limits, response limits, and safe URL rules. These controls reduce risk. Customers must still follow the law, site terms, privacy rules, and copyright rules.
