Most requests cost 1 credit for static processing, or 5 credits when browser rendering is required. Auto mode (the default) tries static first and only spends the additional 4 credits when rendering is needed. Sitemap inspection is the exception, charging 1 credit per 10 URLs inspected, because a single call fetches every listed page. Credits refresh at the start of each billing period and do not roll over.
Yes. Direct plans use one unified credit pool across every live ToolTrace API. Each endpoint deducts credits according to the processing it uses, typically 1 credit for a static request and 5 credits when browser rendering is required. Sitemap inspection charges 1 credit per 10 URLs inspected, so a default 25-URL check costs 3 credits.
The first 100 direct customers on Pro, Ultra, or Mega get 50% off forever, not just for the first year. This is our thank-you for backing ToolTrace early. Once the 100 seats are gone, standard pricing applies to new customers — but founding customers keep their locked rate for as long as their subscription stays active.
Requests return 429 with a Retry-After header. You can upgrade any time — the change takes effect immediately and you're prorated for the remaining period.
Yes. Credits are reserved atomically before work begins and refunded when ToolTrace fails to return a result. You're only billed for requests we successfully serve.
No. ToolTrace detects access challenges and reports them cleanly — we never claim to have extracted blocked content. If you need bypass tooling, this isn't the API for you. This stance keeps ToolTrace safe for enterprise use.
Yes. Direct plans give you a single API key that works across every ToolTrace API. You can migrate at any time and your usage history stays with your account.
