Tooltrace uses a Chrome browser extension to help users identify and organize the SaaS tools they use.
The extension detects SaaS services by reading the domain and URL of websites the user visits. It does not read page content, text, images, or form data by default.
The browser extension:
• Reads website domain and URL information to identify SaaS services
• Uses first-party authentication data to keep users signed in to their Tooltrace account
• Provides optional autofill functionality only when explicitly triggered by the user
• Does not access email inboxes
• Does not access bank or payment data
• Does not read personal communications
• Does not track keystrokes, mouse activity, or scrolling
Authentication cookies are accessed only from tooltrace.io and app.tooltrace.io and are used solely to maintain the user’s logged-in session.
Any interaction with web pages, including autofill actions, occurs only after user initiation.
Users may disable or uninstall the extension at any time.
We use your information to:
Provide and operate the Tooltrace service
Manage user accounts and subscriptions
